Devin, originally from South Korea, settled in Canada in 2014. Initially intending just to visit, she was drawn in by the country's cultural mosaic and decided to pursue a degree in Asian Area Studies at UBC, veering away from her design background. This shift was sparked by her fascination with the diverse communities she found in Canada. Her academic and cultural pursuits also led her to master three languages: Mandarin, Korean, and English.

After graduating, she spent a year in Korea working in product management, facilitating collaboration between Chinese manufacturers and a Korean company. That experience unveiled her natural inclination towards product design, prompting her to transition into the field.

As a product designer, she has developed her technical skills in both front-end and back-end programming. Devin's premier project is a user-centric error management system for vehicle engineers, reflecting her multidisciplinary expertise.
